Under the Law, a volunteer is a physical person who voluntarily conducts social non-profit activity by providing volunteer assistance.
Volunteers can be Ukrainian citizens, foreigners and persons without citizenship. Persons of 14-18 years conduct volunteer activity with the consent of one of parents, foster parents or guardians.
Foreigners and persons without citizenship conduct volunteer activity via organizations and institutions.
In case of death of a volunteer during their voluntary activity in the area of ATO, military actions and armed conflicts, family of the deceased is paid one-time financial assistance in the amount of 500 minimum living salaries established for employable persons.
In case of establishment of disability of a volunteer as a result of an injury received during their voluntary activity in the area of ATO, military actions and armed conflicts, they will receive a one-time financial assistance depending on the degree of disability.
